5 Months Old

Today Alyssa is exactly 5 months old. Happy 5 months old, Alyssa! mama and papa loves you so much!

Her developments so far :

~ She laughs more frequent even though it is quite hard to make her laugh..she's not easily amused.. Usually she would laugh once or twice and then she just smiles or shows no reaction at all. Guess she find repetitious funny faces, tickles whatsoever are not funny at all..hehh! But when she does laugh, she makes my heart grows fonder and makes you want to laugh too :D

~ She smiles a lot! L.O.V.E her smiles !

~ She keeps on practicing building her vocabulary by saying “dish” repeatedly together with “add-jee” while bubbling..making her lips, chin and even her cheeks soak with her saliva

~ She is now aware of the existence of her hands and feet. She would take her hand/s up in the air in front of her face and stare her little hands and fingers with owe. The same goes with her feet. She’s able to take up her legs up in the air and reached her feet..

~ She started to move while lying on her tummy. She can make a circle and she can reverse..hehehh.. She would move like a caterpillar, lift her bum first and then push her body downwards..

~ She now shows interest on eating solid. She would stare at our food and drinks without a blink and make chewing movements with her lips as in she was eating

~ She is practicing to enhancing her motor skills by trying to grab things with her tiny little hands and fingers. Be it food, glass, papers…you name it, she’d grab it :) she started to play with her toys...grabbing and put them into her mouth.

~ She is a drama queen! Hehehh.. She has this thing of “made up coughing” that she would do to get our attention. The cough sounded really fake and it is so funny that I and hubby couldn’t keep exchanging giggling every time she does that. She would cough everything she wanted things to be done her way.. When she was bored lying down, wanted to be hold up, when she doesn’t like her shirt to be dressed through her head and neck etc,..just to name a few..

~ It is mandatory to hold her outside the house everyday now. Not just once but more than 3 times a day. She loves looking at the birds flying and chipping their way..she loves looking at the green trees swaying from side to side wherever the wind blows…she loves watching the moving cars and motorcycle passing by…and she loves watching kids next door playing and riding their bikes… and the most important thing is she loves to watch bluehyppo sticker on my car’s window…:-p

~ Her hair is getting longer and she sweats a lot!..especially on her head. Most of the time I found her hair and head drenched with sweat when it’s hot, during sleeping and feeding. Thinking of trimming her hair by the ears..but…hmmm…

**Check-up Update

Went for her 5 months old check-up this morning together with my mother. Hubby unable to join us because he has to go to work. This is the third time in a row hubby unable to accompany Alyssa to her monthly check up..*sigh. Anyway, we accidentally cut the queue :) Supposedly Alyssa’s turn was no 11..but we cut the queue, no 9 was called, but we were the ones entering doctor’s room. There were lots of people there..And LOTS of babies, toddlers and kids playing at the playground inside the clinic..And they were SO loud..It was hard to hear the nurse calling whose name. The nurse only called once and her voice was so soft…could’ve been louder considering the loud environment, but no, she kept her voice down **sigh.

Once inside the doctor’s room…she asked: “how are you, Alin?..” I was puzzled as to why the doctor called my baby Alin… but kept the curiosity to myself..She asked again, “how about the rashes, after I prescribed the medicine are all the rashes gone?..” ..I replied “Yes..all gone..” I did asked the doctor for Zinc Oxide for Alyssa’s rashes on her bum the last time we saw the doctor. So I just assumed that was the rashes she was referring to.

The doctor took Alyssa’s weight and height. She added another 500g this month..Which makes her weight is 8kg..And her height I 69cm…increased 3 cm from last month.

After that, the doctor was looking for Alyssa’s immunisation card. And that started the chaos..hehehh. She asked if I handed the card during registration..I said yes, but they couldn’t find it. They even asked me if my hubby was the one who registered..And one of the nurses confidently saying my hubby who was the one registered and didn’t hand in the card..And she started to get frustrated, kept on frowning. They kept asking me question back and forth between nurse and the doctor.. and the finally the doctor looked at the patient file in front of her, showed me and asked whether my baby’s name was correct as stated on the file.. hahahhh…it was Alin Maisara! Not Alyssa Zahra…muehehehhh .. Dr Mahani was cool and didn’t even makes a big fuss about it..she just said “ tak dengar ye ma?..” made me feel at ease, less guilt :) hehehh both me and my mother thought the nurse called Alyssa Zahra, that’s why we rushed in.. Besides, Alin Maisara and her parents didn’t rush in, so..Go figure!

But that snobby nurse showed her dissatisfaction loud and clears..Stating how right she was..HEH!! What the hell..nurses there are not friendly anyway, really hard to see them smile… only one, who assisted dr Mahani is a bit friendly…smile.. yg lain, haram!!! I prefer the nurses at dr Fatimah’s clinic better than this children’s clinic. Lucky the doctors are great; Otherwise, I might as well look for clinic. Oh Well…
